1965 : Formation du groupe Pink Floyd . Il est constitué de Syd Barrett (chant, guitare), Richard Wright (claviers, chant), Roger Waters (basse, chant) et Nick Mason (batterie), David Gilmour (chant, guitare) depuis 1968 . Le nom original du groupe, Tea Set, fut abandonné après que le groupe se soit trouvé à l'affiche avec un autre groupe du même nom.
08/1967 : Sortie Pink Floyd - - The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn -
30/12/1967 : Affichage du concert “Pink Floyd“ crée par B. Mac Lean- présenté par Bill Graham au Winterland and Fillmore Auditorium de San Francisco.
1968 : Sortie Pink Floyd - Saucerful of secrets - -
1969 : Sortie Pink Floyd - Ummagumma - -
1973 : Record “ Dark Side of the Moon “ de Pink Floyd est classé au hit-parade Américain pendant 741 semaines.
1977 : Affichage du concert des Pink Floyd au stade olympique de Paris.
13/07/1982 : Sortie Pink Floyd- The Wall / Pink Floyd- The Wall d’ Alan Parker et Gérard Scarfe.
1994 : Sortie Pink Floyd - The Division Bell - -
2003 : Exposition Pink Floyd Interstellar au musée de la musique à Paris.
02/07/2005 : Concert Live 8: Pink Floyd s'est reformé le temps d'un concert à Londres, Hyde Park. Le groupe était au complet, avec David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Nick Mason et Richard Wright, et avant d'entamer Wish you were here, Roger a rendu hommage à Syd.
